Some things are better kept in the dark...
Strange things happen to people everyday. Well actually, things are not strange at all. It only seems strange because it never occurred to you before that something like that would actually happen. Today, something like that happened to Cal. Some random person came up to her and asked her if she knew Cal - this dude he'd been talking to for almost a year through msn. The guy had introduced himself as Jim.
So coincidentally, Cal had known a similar person named Jim, except she knew him as Xavier through playing this online game called Galaxy. It was one of those text-based, co-op things. "Xavier" was in her team on Galaxy. It so happened that Xavier's real name was Jim.
But Cal's mind was so cluttered from college and other frustrations in life that she had conveniently dismissed Galaxy from her mind. So she half-listened to Jim as he went on about how this other Cal is a nice person and attends the same college as herself. You'd think it be weird that you wouldn't know another person's gender after knowing them for almost a year. Well, that's what happened.
In this day and age, I suppose that it is a common thing. I think it happens often enough for me to conclude how ridiculous meeting people online can be. It is also ridiculous how easy I can trust somebody on the other side of that computer screen.
It is even weirder, how this song could inspire me to just think of something like this. Simply put, it is just weird. Or maybe, I'm just a little different. Great.
To those that made me go lalala...
Well here's the song that I wish I could actually sing for you, and make you believe that you could be the one and only person that makes me feel again.
